A Smith Rock Oregon Elopement by Ashley Cook Photography
We get a lot of photo submissions at the amazing, stunning and breathtaking Smith Rock in Terrebonne, Oregon, just 30 miles outside of Bend, Oregon (where we at Wedventure Magazine are lucky enough to call home.) What do we mean by ‘a lot’? For example, while pouring over wedding-photo submissions for our last issue, our editor counted 19 Smith Rock photo shoots. Nineteen. And that is just what was submitted into our office for consideration to feature. We get it, Smith Rock is photography heaven! We too cannot get enough! Just look at these gorgeous photos from a styled elopement by Ashley Cook, an Oregon natural light photographer.
Ashley wanted the opportunity to see and shoot at Smith Rock, and so created this dreamy elopement amongst the majestic landscape. It turned out so good, that we just had to share with all of you. The colors chosen complimented everything mother nature had prepared that day, and the contrast of the bride’s blue skirt billowing in the wind…gahhhhh!
Speaking of wind, our fave shot is the vertical image in the third block of photos below, where the bride is running, her hair and skirt moving all around her in the most gorgeous of ways. Believe us when we say we know wind in Central Oregon. As pesky as it can be from time to time, it can also create magic like in this image. Keep the wind in mind when you are planning your Central Oregon high desert elopement. Just roll with the beauty that is part of this amazing place. Hire the right vendors like these who took part in this styled shoot, and you won’t be disappointed in the amazing moments that will be your forever wedding adventure.
